On Friday, February 20th, during the LIBERATE 2015 Conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, John Zahl shared the message: “Grace & Addiction.”

Although a collar-wearing, ordained Episcopal Priest, addiction to alcohol has been a part of John's life since childhood. He shares with transparency about how AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) has helped him hope in Christ and understand absolution through the original 12 Step Program. John unfolds his connection to the history of AA and how it is grounded in Scripture. He exhorts every church to consider hosting AA. He concluded his talk by sharing the Epilogue from his book, Grace in Addiction: The Good News of Alcoholics Anonymous for Everybody, which quotes the moving speech that Tyler Perry shared at Whitney Houston's funeral about how the same grace that saves us also carries us home.
