On Friday, February 20th, during the LIBERATE 2015 Conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Justin Holcomb shared the message: “Grace & Abuse.”

Abuse victims do not need advice they need hope and healing through the gospel. The deepest message of Christ in the Bible is grace for sinners and sufferers. Victims of abuse don’t need platitudes, shallow theology, or suspicious questions. The effects of abuse are denial or minimizing, distorted self-image, shame, guilt, anger or resentment, and despair. All of the blessings of God are found in Christ; pain for healing, shame for Christ’s confidence, unworthiness for His acceptance, feeling lost for being found, your sin for his forgiveness, feeling death for being made alive in Christ.
