A Texas veterinarian Kristen Lindsey did the unspeakable. She apparently killed a cat with a bow and arrow. Then, she unbelievably posted a photo of herself smiling and holding the slain cat by the arrow shaft on Facebook.

It seems like the public reaction is split. While there is a lot of outrage, there is an equal amount of support for Kristen Lindsey. Based on these reactions, it seems like cats have a bad rap. Learn some facts about cats that'll hopefully dispel negative myths.

Also in the news.... the Electronic Frontier Foundation helped get the podcasting patent invalidated. Personal Audio LLC had a bogus patent which was used to obtain licensing fees from podcasters for infringing on this patent. This is a big step in hopefully eliminating patent trolls.
