This week we welcome fan favorite writer, Robert Venditti, to the Let’s Talk Comics podcast. Rob is a fan who got his start in comics late. After being badgered by a friend of his at the bookstore he worked at, Rob’s first experience with comics was with Kurt Busiek’s, Astro City (not a bad book to get hooked on!). From there, he knew he wanted to take everything he learned as a prose writer, and make it work for comics. He got his start in the business, packing boxes for Top Shelf (see, not all first jobs are writing gigs right out of the bat) and from there began to write. You might know him from a little movie a few years ago starring Bruce Willis, The Surrogates. Now, Rob is tasked with helping shape the new Valiant Comics universe as well as some work at DC Comics.
