Bettie in my opinion is one of the first of the “superstar” colorists of the modern age. Her unique style is what made people slow down while reading their comics to take notice of the person adding this layer of finish to their books. Hearing Bettie talk about how she was able to take much of her traditional painting experience and use that to become one of the most sought after colorists in the industry was fascinating.
