Ep 022 - Eileen McKusick: Healing with Vibrational Sound Therapy

August 16, 2016

Does sound affect the body? How does your body react to loud alarms or an ambulance? Do you tense up or does your heart beat a little bit faster? How do you react to soothing music, rain, or the sound of the ocean? What physical reactions happen within your body when you hear this? Join Eileen and I as we discuss how sound can affect us, in positive ways, more than we know. Eileen explains how she discovered sound balancing, how vibrational sound therapy can help heal the body, and where you can learn more about this healing modality. Eileen Day McKusick is a researcher, writer, educator and practitioner who has been studying the effects of audible sound on the human body since 1996. She is the originator of Biofield Tuning (formerly called Sound Balancing), a unique therapeutic method utilizing tuning forks; founder of the Biofield Tuning Institute (Burlington VT); and the author of Tuning the Human Biofield: Healing with Vibrational Sound Therapy (Healing Arts Press, 2014). Eileen has a Master’s degree in Integrative Education, and is currently at work on a PhD in Integral Health with a focus on Biofield Science. Her extensive research and practice in the field of therapeutic sound spans both the academic and alternative realms. Connect with Eileen: www.biofieldtuning.com
