FINALLY! I finally was able to get FastBandit on the podcast. You may know him as FastBandit from Wiener & Steel. “Bryan” is a good friend who I met when he won a Chris Reeve Sebenza from a Knife Thursday Giveaway back in the day.  This community has a way of showing people for who they really are. What I’ve learned about Bryan through his actions in the knife community, is that he is extremely generous, tremendously talented yet humble in a way you just don’t see these days. The guy is a wizard with Balisong, but he will tell you he’s “not that good”. He will tell you this as he blows your mind with a video of him flipping his balisong. “Not that good dude?” You sir are crazy good.

Bryan has also done something I’ve not seen any other giveaway winner do on Knife Thursday and it speaks volumes of his character. He wins a Sebenza from a contest where we challenged people to give knives away as gifts. After winning the Sebenza he turns around and donates a brand new Strider SnG to Knife Thursday so we can give it away. Really?

And that’s just going back to Apr 18, 2013… There is so much good knife content from FastBandit, you could literally spend all day browsing through it.

Bryan’s photos constantly make the facebook cover page and are often shared far a wide. There is no denying when something is so pleasing to the eye that people just love to share it. The best part is the knives are not always the focus of Bryan’s photos. It’s often the feeling associated with being a knife enthusiast that’s the subject. When I think about who I’m running Knife Thursday for, I think of Bryan and guys like him.

Itt was a pleasure to finally have him on the podcast. My only regret is that I talked to much. I spent too much time focusing on the Cut, Gut & Carve Showdown and forgot that many of you have not yet had the pleasure of getting to know Bryan. Very soon, I’d like to have him on again to talk a little more about himself and his philosophies on knives, and knife collecting. The sooner the better.
