Massive Mistake #2 is not realizing that you cannot spot train to lose stubborn belly fat.  Ultimately you need to strength train and increase your cardio in order to create lean muscle mass and increase your metaolism.  Be realistic in what you can and cannot do and set boundarires for yourself and those around you.  Create manageable steps and set a goal that you will be able to achieve.  Get a coach or a mentor and be accountable to yourself as well as someone else who wants to see you succeed probably even more than you do.
