Parul Agrawal - Juicing for Healthier Families: A Busy Mom’s “Juicy” Secrets
How do you get kids to love green juice?

This week’s guest has a pretty good idea, and is sharing her tips with busy families in her own community, as well as the world at large. Parul Agrawal, a Phoenix-based wellness coach, blogger, author, and mother speaks with Shane about how to bring the goodness of juice to the whole family.

 

Wanting to lose weight after the birth of her son, Parul discovered juicing 5 years ago. Finding it a quick, easy and delicious way to slim down, she gained interest in more aspects of nutritional and holistic healing, eventually becoming a certified wellness coach and medicinal juicing instructor.

Not wanting to rely on supplements to get all the vitamins and nutrients her body needed, she embraced juicing, raw foods, and learning natural ways to help the body heal and revitalize, blogging about her experiences.

Local centers took notice, and Parul now leads workshops in the greater Phoenix area, providing a valuable combination of theoretical and hands-on instruction for beginning juicers.

 

Parul’s book, “Juicing for Healthier Families: Simple Everyday Recipes You’ll Love For Greater Energy, Vitality, and a Longer Life” is now an Amazon best-seller and provides terrific information and recipes for green juices that will make you feel great and infuse your body with the nutrients it needs.

Experiment: tweak recipes to your and your family’s preferences
Plan & Prep: Parul makes her own packets of washed and cut produce on the weekends to help her quickly make fresh juice during the week.
Take it one day at a time and start slow

 

Advice for reboots: “Hang in there for the first three days – the fourth day will be easier, the fifth day will be better and the sixth day you will feel like you’re a new person!”

 

On reinforcing good habits: “Our body craves for the kind of food we are eating, so if you give good food to your body you crave for good stuff.”
