In today's post we reconsider a familiar story from a different vantage point. From the story of the widow's oil we will learn that it is important to prepare a source of income for our family in case we pass prematurely. The penniless prophet did not do this and without the help of a miracle his sons would have had to work off the debt as slaves. Had he been more prepared perhaps his family would not have needed a miracle in the first place.
