Recharge Your Life With Creative Outlets! Lessons From Anansi Storytime: Ep. 243

May 24, 2017

“Some people use things; they destroy. You’re a creator, a builder.”
— Amelia Atwater-Rhodes

We welcome back Scooter Mann, the producer of Anansi Storytime, a podcast of fairy tales and folklore told in a radio play format. We are also joined by LJ Donnell who is a writer, novelist, and voice actress on Anansi.
We discuss the motivations and benefits behind being committed to such a time-consuming creative project that does not generate an income (yet). Money is not an issue when your creative projects pay you in personal fulfillment, joy, friendship, collaboration, team building, learning opportunities, and they often lead to career transitioning skill sets and an expanding network!

Please follow Anansi Storytime on Facebook and Twitter. You will be impressed with the work that goes into this creative production.

“The highest prize we can receive for creative work is the joy of being creative. Creative effort spent for any other reason than the joy of being in that light filled space, love, god, whatever we want to call it, is lacking in integrity. . ."– Marianne Williamson

Do you have a creative project or hobby? Does it recharge you for the reasons we mentioned?

Did you enjoy this episode? We'd love to know. Make sure to share your thoughts in a review or subscribe to the show on iTunes, Stitcher, and Podbean.
