March 14, 2017

Truth Bomb, JellyVisionaries:

"If you don't have a personal brand within a creative business, you are screwed." --Melanie Spring

Melanie Spring and Rebecca Layton Gunther help us wrap our minds around what branding is, and why we shouldn't shy away from a personal brand. Melanie is the boss lady at Sisarina, a Washington DC-based agency that specializes in branding on purpose. Rebecca is the Chief Culture Officer at Sisarina and works directly with clients to express their brand within every aspect of their business.

The ladies encourage Jen to embrace her personal brand and explain how we are all already nice little boxes that we need to accept in order to communicate an authentic brand and earn the trust of our clients and customers. It's not only ok, to be ourselves, it's an imperative for our success!

Not only that, but you don't need thousands of dollars to develop your personal brand successfully. You are going to love all the advice in this Jellysode!

"Just because you have money doesn't mean you can connect with people."

--Melanie Spring

When branding is at its most successful you are attracting the right clients, collaborators, and partners.  This is why it is so important to get yourself on brand as soon as possible. According to Melanie, it shouldn't be hard. If it is hard, then you probably aren't being true to yourself. It feels good and right when you are yourself within your brand.

"Stay solid in your brand like a lighthouse." --- Rebecca Layton Gunter
