Let’s talk about the value of networking. Specifically, let’s talk about how making connections and friends in your industry is like compounding interest. One meeting at a conference can lead to another conference to another opportunity and much more.
It’s a pretty wild ride, and I wanted to share how one single conference, my first big international conference, back in 2014, lead to many of the opportunities I’ve had to speak all over the world.
This is the story about how I ended up on a mountain top in Hungary, wet behind the ears, in January of 2014. Who I met, how it all worked, and what has happened since this event.

I’m releasing this episode today, because I am currently on that same mountain in Hungary! I’m networking, seeing old friends, and making new ones.
Developing hundreds relationships. Meeting new friends. All because I decided to go to a mountain in Hungary, 2 months after quitting my job at the end of 2013.
I would say that this is going to be “10 connections I made from the conference” but I think this will go longer than 10. Let’s see where it leads.
