Lenny Breau - Part 1

January 08, 2015

Leonard Harold Breau was born in Maine in the early 1940s to musician parents and spent his life surrounded by the country/western music that they performed. As a teenager, the natural musical ability Lenny had allowed him to figure out the licks of his favorites like Chet Atkins and Django Reinhardt as well as jazz greats of the day like Tal Farlow and Bill Evans. His ability to mix country, jazz, and flamenco styles along with his ability to play the guitar like a piano made him one of the great innovators who is essentially forgotten today by those outside the music community.
