Reputation Economy and the importance of Amazon Feedback and Amazon Product Review
Why asking for an Amazon Product Review is so Important. We live in a new paradigm in this country.  People are expecting top-notch quality products and customer service. We live in the age of Reputation Economy and you can no longer just sell your product and turn away from the customer looking for the next customer because that customer could leave breadcrumbs long after the sale is complete.  These breadcrumbs could be picked up by the next potential customer.  Depending on what type of breadcrumbs that are left makes a difference if the next customer will buy or not.
What did Adam Smith say about Reputation:
In The Theory of Moral Sentiments, Adam Smith had a lot to say that when it comes to dealing with the customer and our own reputation and what it does for us emotionally being moral and just in our transactions.
In contrast, the man of superior prudence whose actions are “directed to greater and nobler purposes than the care of the health, the fortune, the rank and reputation of the individual,” gains a greater happiness by exercising the virtues of ordinary prudence (including justice and self-command) plus beneficence. Such “amiable and . . . meritorious” conduct yields an “inward tranquility and self-satisfaction,” a “pleasing consciousness of deserved reward,” knowing that we are “beloved . . . [and ] deserve to be beloved” . Smith hastens to add that superior prudence is not “confined to men of extraordinary magnanimity and virtue” but is commonly achieved by persons of all social ranks.
