April 25, 2017

Summary:
More Americans are living alone than at any time in the past 42 years, according to the American census bureau. And as we all get older this will present many challenges both individually and socially as a culture. For single seniors, living alone is not always the ideal solution, having both good and bad aspects. But there are new choices on the horizon. For this episode, Lee chats with Annamarie Pluhar who is a strong advocate for the concepts of Shared housing and living with housemates. Of course, having housemates is not really new, but Annamarie has uncovered a process for doing this that minimizes the downsides while emphasizing safety and compatibility. Lee and Annamarie explore these areas and talk about her book which guides an interested person through the whole business of finding the right house-mate.
