“This is our podcast. There are many like it, but this one is ours.” Okay, not as powerful or compelling as the Rifleman’s Creed from the movie “Full Metal Jacket” (1987), but you get the idea. We gave our nostalgic ratings last week, then watched it and now we’re back to have our usual banter about the movie. Although we both gave this high ratings, it’s due mostly for the boot camp portion of the movie. We’ll get into this and other facets of the film.

After the break, we’ll go from a war in a country to a war in a building in next week’s movie from 1988 that starred a TV actor gone full-blown action movie star and kicked off a bunch of sequels. We’ll give our nostalgic reviews in preparation for next week.
