Episode Seven Show Notes
Join me, Tuesday morning, October 28, 2014 at 10:30 AM Pacific Time,  as I interview Sandy and Jack Naughton, of the Jack City Blues Band!  "If you haven't heard Jack, you haven't heard the Blues!"  That's what they say, and I am convinced it is true!

Tune in to find out why music dosen't have to be played on a didgeridoo or crystal bowl, to be healing. Heck no!! Straight up Blues played by Jack City Blues Band provides healing and positive vibrations everywhere they play!

You will hear stories about how Jack and Sandy's own lives have been transformed because of the power of music, and they share tales of guests at events where Jack City Blues Band has performed and got them up and dancing and smiling, where previously there was no inkling of a smile or even a sigh of relief in their demeanor.

Meet Jack City Blues Band - Healing the World through Music indeed!

"Wide Open Blues" nominated
BEST BLUES ALBUM 2014
San Diego Music Awards

Jack City Blues Band's unique musical style, best described as "B. B. King meets Bob Wills," incorporates jump, blues, and western swing into an exciting sound that makes it difficult to sit still and not move your feet.  Like a Classic Rock song states, "You Can't Sit Down."

"Our desire is to touch people's lives and make them happy through our music."

The Jack City Blues Band is a MULTI AWARD-WINNING band, collecting awards at the Local, State and National levels.  Once known as the popular country, blues, and western swing band, Grand Central Station, the band competed with 42 states, winning Band of the Year honors for the Country Music Associations of America at an awards ceremony held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Other awards received by the band members are Entertainer of the Year, Vocalist of the Year, Lead Guitarist, Keyboardist, and Bassist.

Jack & Sandy Naughton are recent Western Swing HALL OF FAME inductees who were honored for their musicianship, and for their significant contributions, dedication and commitment to the preservation and promotion of western swing music.

These same two band members were approached by Creedence Clearwater producer Russ Gary.  This meeting led to an original recording project at the House of Blues Studios in Los Angeles where hit albums from such artists as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Keb 'Mo, The Wallflowers, among many others, have been recorded.

In addition to this, Tom Knox, record producer for the 70's rock group TOTO, Ray Stevens and Cher, came out of retirement because he had an interest in producing the band.

Other credits include Show Opener for numerous National Acts including the Marshall Tucker Band, Asleep At The Wheel, Steve Earl, Juice Newton and more; Infomercial Performances, and Live Radio and Television Broadcasts.  Their original songs have received airplay in the United States as well as Europe.

To fully experience the Jack City Blues Band you must see them live exhibiting their talents.

Like the man said, "If you don't know the blues, then you don't know Jack!"

P.S.  Love the music of the intro and outro for my podcast?  The instrumental piece is Walt’s Waltz, composed and arranged by Randy Masters, PH.D. It is published by Masters Publishing House (ASCAP ). Walt’s Waltz is about the magical child in us all and how certain aspects of Walt Disney’s movies portrayed that  throughout Randy Master’s lifetime.
