Healing the World Through Music - With Cheri Gross

Podcast 11 – Julie Egger – Klezmer Music – Tradition and Soul Create Healing

January 18, 2016

When Julie first contacted me, about her healing music, I had to find out what Klezmer Music was! It took a while to learn how deep the folk tradition of Klezmer Music runs, into the roots of Jewish traditional folk music culture coming from Eastern Europe.  Julie does a swell job of describing its tradition in our interview.

Jule Egger has formed the energetic eclectic band, The RedHot Chachkas, and they have been playing at all kinds of fun and festive events over the years since the band was formed. In fact here is one of their CD's which I love the cover art!  Listening to the Klezmer Music that Julie and her counterparts plays, there is no way you can not be in an upbeat mood!

Julie Egger is a violinist, a pianist, and an introspective teacher of music and soul.  Julie guides her students to make music through their soul. She believes that while letting their soul shine through their music, they will develop technique along the way.

Julie plays music and connects to her audiences and her students, from her soul to theirs. She describes being in that place where one becomes so present, that healing has to occur. She explains how she is present to the experience of the music, and her soul comes through the music to the receivers that she plays for.  Julie has transformed lives of people she plays for in her Klezmer music band, The Red Hot Chachkas

For her students, Julie Egger elevates their experience of music and learning is transformed.

To contact Julie directly, please go visit her band page http://www.redhotchachkas.com or her personal music page http://julieegger.com  Listen to the Red Hot Chachkas here on their SoundCloud profile.  Julie also plays in a band The Convergents.
