Hey everyone! Welcome back! (I know, we can’t believe we’re still doing this either.) Episode 4 will be exploring the Sikh community in America and recent hate crimes targeting them. In the aftermath of the shooting of a 39 year old Sikh man in his own driveway in Kent earlier this month, we visited the Renton Sikh gurdwara (temple) to get a sampling of how the community is reacting to the news and what they are doing to combat the hatred and ignorance associated with such violence. We also get into a larger discussion on hate crimes and try to piece together how this incident affects us as Indian Americans, too.
