The Chicago Sun-Times sports section led with the story of Cub’s player Carlos Marmol’s words being reported by a neighbor who overheard them in a community room of the development they live in. While we can rightly be concerned with a “Big Brother” approach to government surveillance and we can decry intrusions of privacy by neighbors we also need to remember that God is everywhere present at all times. Rather than being a scary truth the Psalmist (Psalm 139: 7-12) sees this as a reason for praise and comfort.
