The Bible clearly defines what it means to honor the name of the Lord and to esteem it above all else. Taking God’s name in vain, as en vogue as ever, is a serious offense to an almighty and Holy God.  Writing or uttering the ever popular “OMG” or simply saying the name “Jesus” flippantly is also an indictment against the commands of Scripture.
