A God Whom His Fathers Knew Not

June 19, 2014

Corpus Christi Day (in German, Fronleichnam), is the Roman Catholic holiday that honors the Eucharist, the communion wafer that Roman Catholics eat during the Mass. The Roman Catholic doctrine of the Real Presence holds that the Eucharist is not the symbolic body of Jesus Christ, but is the actual body, blood, and divinity of Jesus. This makes the Eucharist "another Jesus" according to 2 Corinthians 11:4. Moreover, the ciborium, the chalice or box made of precious metals that is used to house the Eucharist and Corpus Christi Day are the literal fulfillment of the prophecy of Daniel 11:38, which states that Antichrist would honor the "god of forces" and honor this god with "gold and silver and precious stones and pleasant things."
