This week, we sat down to talk with Bill Pilat to discuss one of Roanoke’s greatest goalies, Matt Madalon. Madalon was originally a transfer from D1 Hofstra and went on lead Roanoke to 3 ODAC championship games and 2 NCAA final fours. Madalon went on to be drafted into the MLL where he played for the San Francisco Dragons, the Long Island/NY Lizards and the Charlotte Hounds. While playing in the MLL, Madalon also was the head assistant coach at Stevens Tech in Hoboken where he led Stevens to an NCAA appearance.
