Geek Revolution Radio #150 – Marvel Comics on Netflix

August 22, 2016

Netflix is killing it with original content, and it is very clear with its partnership with Marvel.  With the introduction of Daredevil and Jessica Jones, Netflix is king of the comic book world.  On this weeks episode, the guys talk about the beautiful harmony of Marvel on Netflix, and why the shows on Netflix are arguably better than the MCU.

First Half:
To start out the show, Will and Ryan opened up about fantasy football, and football in general.  Detailing how happy the are of the return of America’s other favorite past-time.
Ryan also gave his take on UFC 202 between Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor.
The guys also talked about Darth Vader making an appearance in Rouge One Trailer, and what it means for the upcoming film.
Main Topic: Marvel Comics on Netflix
In their discussion of Marvel on Netflix, and the relationship with Marvel, Will and Ryan talked about the current shows like Daredevil and AKA Jessica Jones.  They talked about what makes these shows great, and why not many other shows don’t come close to the grit and darkness features in both shows.

Will makes a pretty bold statement about the villain in Daredevil, and why he thinks few come close to Vincent D’Onofrio’s performance in the show.  Short of maybe Heath Ledger’s the Joker in The Dark Knight.
So do you agree with Ryan’s notion about Marvel on Netflix in compared to the Marvel Cimematic Universe?  Are the Netflix shows better than the movies? Get into conversation at Facebook.com/GeekRevolutionRadio
