Slay the Spire – An Early Game of the Year Contender

August 07, 2019

This week on the Lost Spark Podcast James and Antony take to the mics to chat about the games they have been playing this week and the latest news from the world of gaming.
Also this week James talks about his recent trip to GuardianCon, crocheting a NES controller and his new personal challenge, Ecobricks.  Ecobricks is a great way of collecting and repurposing unrecyclable plastics and turning them in building blocks.  Hear James’ awesome plans for an Ecobrick bench-slash-planter in the shape of the Rare golden R.
In ‘What We’ve Been Playing’ James has an early ‘Game of the Year’ contender with Slay the Spire, a new roguelike-like deck-building card game from Mega Crit Games out now on PC and Nintendo Switch.  James has also been dabbling in Griftlands on PC, Dr. Mario World on Mobile and the Bridge Constructor Portal on Xbox via Xbox Game Pass.  Antony has been continuing his nerd-quest through Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 and enjoying the adorable Riverbond, the new voxel based shoot-and-slash game on Xbox Game Pass.
