Oy mate! Wanna foight?! This week, we talk a bit about brawler mechanics and the qualities of a good brawling system. Going into this conversation, we knew that the Batman Arkham series was going to have a lot of influence, so we tried (tried is the operative word) to explore other games, at least in relation to those mechanics. Harold referenced One Finger Death Punch's ability to distill the essence of a brawler into its simplest mechanics. And we attempted to identify why the Arkham brawl mechanic failed when implemented into other games.
