James McGreevey served as Governor of New Jersey from 2002 until resigning in 2004 - after appointing his male secret lover as homeland security adviser despite lacking qualifications for the position. Threats of sexual harassment lawsuits prompted the Governor to resign. Jim was the first openly Gay Governor in US history. He would go on to obtain his Masters of Divinity with the goal of becoming an Episcopal Minister. Going from seeking to change the world to one-on-one mentoring of women prisoners in search of self-esteem.
