We learn how Isla started as a small Filipino Turo–turo restaurant and has transformed into a popular culinary location – keeping with traditional Filipino recipes.  Located in Lincoln Square (Chicago) Isla Pilipina  has been featured in Chicago Magazine, Chicago’s Best TV show (video), and Check Please.
Lakhi gives us his background being raised in the Philipines – and his experiences in the restaurant , medical, and Marketing/PR field.  His other passion is helping promote and market other Filipino organizations and he owns a company which promotes Asian events called Ascene Chicago.
