Episode 70 – Consistently Inconsistent.

October 22, 2014

Peyton Manning breaks Bret Favres all time TD record. We knew it was going to happen and we touched on this last week, but isn’t in convenient that he did it on Sunday Night Football in front of a national audience? Does it matter that the NFL takes these things into account when they make the schedule? Is it good or bad that they do? lead to collusion?

Giants get beat down by Cowboys. Cowboys actually seem legit. DeMarcco Murray is playing out of his mind and the Cowboys O-Line is playing at the top of their game.

Rams stun Seahawks behind a fake punt that sealed the deal. Gutsy call by Fisher or realistic expectations for team. Been talking about the Rams for a while now but what concerns me is that they just released Austin Pettis and there have been some reports that they should consider trading Tavon Austin. This is good young talent that they should be building around.

We have a trade!

Jets trade a 6th rounder which can escalate to a 4th rounder for Percy Harvin, acquiring a great talent, although possibly just another Santonio. Why make this trade?

Idzik responding to pressure to use some of the 20 million?

Idzik trying to do something to get some wins and keep his job?

Idzik realizing he’s dug Rex a big enough hole and he’ll be fired so he’s starting to build HIS team?

Idzik trying to determine if Geno is the guy by giving him some weapons to finish the season with.

Colts shutout Bengals. Are the Colts the top team in the AFC beside Denver? Bengals in trouble?

Bengals have 3 home games in 12 days (thank you schedule makers) and despite making the playoffs 3 straight years, they are having trouble selling tickets and are facing a blackout. No fan base? Jaded fan base?

This NFL doesn’t make sense. The Jaguars whooped the Browns, just a week after the Browns whooped the steelers, who just beat the texans, who just played great against the Colts. Colt McCoy leads the Skins to victory and the Dolphins beat the Bears. Who the hell is going to make the playoffs in this league?
