Episode 66 – Cameron Wake – Up!!

September 09, 2014

-Giants look inept. Not all Eli. The o-line is in shambles, receivers can’t get open, and the defense chooses to give Calvin “some space”  Not just the system, this is a team that led the league in free agent transactions this offseason and looked like the #32 ranked team on the field.

-Titans, Vikings, Bills, Dolphins all get big and unexpected wins this past sunday. Most impressed? Which one has best chance of competing for a playoff spot in a wide open AFC?

-Tony Romo. 3 first half picks. practically back-to-back-to-back. Awful decisions. Awful play calling. No imaginative play-calling. Same old Cowboys.

-Brady loses opening day. Shut out in the second half. Dolphins seemed to get better as they lost players to injury. Fluke win against an opponent they really hate and get up for, or sleeper team to watch out for?

-Hoyer: after an awful first half against the Steelers, the Browns come back and make it a game. They lose by a field goal, but Hoyer looked good and protected the ball. Not much clamoring for Manziel.

-Jets won, but eh. 11 penalties, some mis-timing issues especially on the trick plays by Marty. But, Geno looked good and comfortable and the defense held their own for the most part, even though they were facing a rookie QB. One thing they did that most impressed me: they tackled. Good, wrap-up tackling and not allowing a lot of YAC.

Colts: Played well overall against a beast of a Broncos team, which by the way, Peyton has now beaten all 32 teams in the NFL. But they had Luck throw the ball 53 times in that game. I understand their RB’s don't pose much of a threat, but you can't sustain success with that 1 dimensional of a game

RG3 picked up right where he left off, as the QB of the Redskins and going absolutely nowhere.
