Feeding My Faith

Feeding My Faith

How to Build Your Faith

October 07, 2018

Wanting a stronger faith is not new. In Luke 15 it states, "5 The apostles said to the Lord, "Give us more faith!""

Romans 10:17 states: "17 So faith comes from hearing the Good News. "
James 1:22 states, "22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says."
1st Corinthians 10 says, "No temptation[c] has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted[d] beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted,[e] he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it."
Building Muscles
When you build muscles, you work them to the point of exhaustion. Your brain retaliates by repairing them and making them bigger than they were before. Body building is not pleasant, but people do it because they know on the other side of the pain, you have bigger muscles.
It's not just the exercise, you need to feed your body the right fuel to help repair the muscles.
Building Faith
Our spiritual food is the bible. We should be eating it every day.
When we face trials, and situations, it's painful. When we call upon God, he gives us strength to get through.
When we make it through a tough situation, we are stronger, wiser, smarter than we were before. We also have more faith. We now see how God didn't give us more than we can handle, and our faith is bigger.
