Common Affect
This week has reminded me that I should’ve long ago given up the notion that winter weather in the South could be predictable. It has also gotten me thinking about other notions I should give up: the hope that I will ever be a professional athlete … that the Girl Scout cookie diet results in weight loss. Collectively, perhaps it is time that we gave up the idea that we live in vacuums, where our actions affect only ourselves. Granted, those more aware might expand the scope to include others; even for these, the circle is small. Should we sacrifice this notion, we might better serve the Kingdom.
