As a reminder, this Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, which marks the beginning of Lent – Lent being the 40 days, excluding Sundays, before Easter.  As Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, we will be having an Ash Wednesday service Wednesday night at 7pm.  During the service, all will be invited to participate in the receiving of ashes.  This, of course, is not required.  It is, however, another reminder that we are marked as God’s own, set aside to live for God’s glory and a great way to begin preparing for Easter.  Receiving ashes tends to be a moving experience, one not to be missed.  During the service childcare will be provided, for those who’d like it.  I look forward to seeing you Wednesday night.
