Camp, violence, and religion – sermon for 7 June 2015
In this sermon I talk about what I did at our diocesan summer camp. Then, around the 5:30 mark, I tackle the Big Question: Why is there so much violence done in the name of religion? Brief answer: because it works for the violent to carve up humanity in any way that allows them to win. Religion, though, contains the great witness to the power of compassion over violence.
