Fairy Tales Re-Imagined with K.A. Last on the Books and Authors Podcast

June 18, 2021

This is the Books and Authors Fantasy Podcast Episode 173 with K.A. Last.

Good day and welcome to this episode of the Books and Authors Fantasy and Sci-Fi Podcast. I’m your host, podcaster and author of Fun Fantasy Reads, Jamie Davis. This podcast is exactly what the title says it is, a show focused on everything in fantasy books.

This show will cover everything to do with fantasy books. From Epic Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, Sword and Sorcery, and everything in between, expect to find the best and brightest authors from all the various corners of the fantasy book world. Plus we’ll add in a few other very special guests as well along the way.

Kicking things off this week with my author update, I’m between major book projects right now and I’m using that break to work on two smaller projects at once. I’m writing a short story to see how I like an idea for a new series I came up with. More on that as I get into it.

I’m also working on my Kindle Vella humorous space serial project, N’SPACE. If you like reading serial fiction on WattPad, Radish, or similar sites, you’ll probably want to check out Kindle Vella later this summer when it launches. I’ll keep you up to date on what’s going on with that series as it continues to grow.

You can check out more information on what I’m up to, including sneak peeks of upcoming covers, special giveaways, and more, by visiting my fan group on Facebook, Jamie’s Fun Fantasy Readers and over at my website and blog, JamieDavisBooks.com. I look forward to hearing from you.

Today on the show, I have K.A. Last joining us. Kim has always been artistic and creative. She has a diploma in Graphic Design and has worked in the publishing industry for more than twenty years. Blessed with a vivid imagination, she began writing to let off creative steam and fell in love with it.

She also has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Charles Sturt University with a major in English, and minors in Children’s Literature, Art History, and Visual Culture. She resides in the Australian countryside with her family and a menagerie of animals.

We talk about her story in the upcoming Urban Fantasy short story anthology, Summer Solstice Shenanigans as well as about her Happily Ever After series of reimagined fairy tales. Check out her interview next.

Kim Last is also one of the amazing authors appearing in the upcoming Urban Fantasy short story anthology, Summer Solstice Shenanigans.
