"​The Promised One Arrives" (John 1: 1-14)
​If Jesus is the Promised One, why did he come in such an obscure and provincial way? Was this form of entry into historic humanity a direct connection to the Christmas Backstory? The backstory to the birth of Jesus Christ is a long series of events and promises going all the way back to the Garden. If we listen to the Angel's message to the shepherds we will find not only the reason for his Arrival but also why the birth was unpretentious and humble. Did you know that Christ promised another Advent, one that has similar elements, but is the opposite of enigmatic?
