Come and SeeI love donuts. Always have- I don’t eat as many as I used to- last week had a bad donut day-I remember the first time I had a Krispy Kreme donut- changed my life- that hot light no jokeTold my grandpa about it- French pastry chef- poo-pooed about it- took him- 7 and he believedIt was something that I loved- that I knew that someone else loved- so I shared it with himHave you ever seen something cool and wanted to share it with someone? A rainbow, a sunset, a funny video? Gone to a great restaurant? “you got to see this video, movie” hear this songYou need to have the same commitment when It comes to sharing JesusPsalm 66:5 Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men.On October 31- we are having an invite Sunday- and today that’s what we’re talking about-I want you to come away from this message with a commitment to invite one person- not even get one person to come- just invite one person- if we can get a handful of visitors- it will be great- make a commitment- be about that invite life. From Research- there’s one specific reason that visitors come to church? The friendship factor. They asked more than 50,000 people over the last 10 years why they came to church, and between 75 and 90 percent of respondents say, “I began attending because someone invited me.”Only 2% of church people invite an unchurched person (Thom Ranier, 2003)One study found 37% of Christians linked their conversion to being invited to church (Unbinding the Gospel) showed 40% who joined first came because a friend invited.Don’t invite people that have another church- not the plan- unchurched- non-Christians

why is evangelism importantWe want to give God as much glory as possible- because he is worth it- when we lead more people to Him, it gives him more glory- its more people to worship himSalvation benefits God the most, and us secondly- the truth is that people have better lives when they are Christians- so why would we not want them to experience it?Heaven sounds better than Hell any day of the week. The God life is the best life. Here’s another reason- its mandated by scripture- this is a mandate I’m all for-Mat 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. These words were spoken by Jesus at the end of his earthly ministry before he ascended into heaven- its often said that the last words that someone says before they leave is most important- GO and CONVERT and TEACHWe, as the people of God who have been converted are to go and convert other people- our salvation was never intended for ourselves- it is for God and Others for HIS benefit (mostly him)We should be about our fathers business-I get it- life is hard- and even myself- its easy to get consumed with our own problems and our own issues and the things that are going on with us- Chicken coop- all I think about (food distro)Marriage, kids, finances, work, world, hobbies, etc. It’s a a consuming lifeAnd its east to get so sucked into it- that we forget that as Christians- our life is not our own- we are blessed to be a blessing- saved to save others- dead to help others liveAnd so it takes a lot of mind energy- to stay focused and remember to evangelizeHonestly- I don’t need the rejection and the pain- I don’t need the embarrassmentActs 13:47 For so the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have set you as a light to the Gentiles, That you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth.’ ”We are that light- we are that varisty team- that’s what we are supposed to be doingRomans 10:14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
