Discussing being a minimalist and using survival Skills with Brady Lyles: Episode 6

June 09, 2015

In this episode, our guest Brady talks about going to a survival school and then shares his minimalist views on gear and hiking. Brady challenges the status quo for hiking by taking a tarp instead of a tent and eating pemmican instead of jerky.

Below are a few highlights of the show:

Creating a song to help you with directions can be as effective as a map.
Pemmican is a food you can make for the trail that is packed full of fat and energy.
Tracking is one way of being aware of your surroundings.
Using a tarp as a tent allows flexibility with shelter and requires minimal planning.
Suggest the best advice: Thankfulness
