Chethan Sathya, MD, MSc, is a pediatric trauma surgeon and National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded firearm injury prevention researcher. He serves as director of Northwell Health’s Center for Gun Violence Prevention and oversees the health system’s expansive approach to firearm injury prevention. We cover how he and his team are tackling the horrific issue of kids injured and killed by guns. This is a tough topic, thank you for stepping into the tension.
