EE009 Guy Kawasaki - how to be an APE

June 24, 2013

I have been reading, watching, and admiring the massive career of Guy Kawasaki for at least a decade. And now I got to interview him – twice! Guy is the author of 12 books, including What the Plus!, Enchantment, Reality Check, The Art of the Start, and and now APE (a must read if you are an author).

After a brilliant conversation all about being an author, social media, tricks of the trade and more for CAPS I grabbed Guy for a more intimate conversation about the work of being a successful thought leader.

Here are some of the best lines from the interview:

“It’s not like I’m Donald Trump’s son or something. I had to create this.”

“The truth is that none of this is planned.”

“I wrote this book because I wanted to tell a story.”

There is so much to take from this call and I really encourage you to learn more about how Guy manages his expert enterprise with no staff.

Make sure you share this recording (click on the left) – it can help anyone who struggles with the daily grind of being a thought leader. (Hey, a comment would be cool too!)
