As one of the original thirteen colonies, Connecticut was host to a number of high profile war battles, Fort Griswold being one of them. During the Revolutionary War, Fort Griswold saw a chain of eerie events occur one after the other. Tensions between the Americans and the British were at an all time high, and because of that, Griswold became the last place a lot of men took their last breath. Not only is there a large park where many spirits linger, but there is also a house for the wounded that many ghosts stuck around in to continue to haunt. The scariest part of all is that these locations appear to be serene and beautiful: one would never imagine upon first glance that it could pack such an evil history.
