ETH100 – All Good Things Must Come To An End

March 29, 2018

Episode 100! Wow, there were times over the past 26 months that I didn’t think that I would make it this far. Then there were others, some of that time was over the past few months, that I didn’t think I would make it to 100. There were times where I struggled to find something to talk about, someone to talk to about whatever topic I chose, or just find the time to record the episode.
Don’t get me wrong, I love doing the podcast and wish I could continue doing it.
So why am I stopping the podcast?
Well, there a few reasons actually. As you all know, my wife and I adopted four kids last July. I want to spend more time with them. They are at that age where they still love daddy, still meet me at the door when I come home from work, and still want good night stories. I don’t want to miss any more than I have to.
In that same thought though, my wife and I started a business this year called 2xC Products. We make customized signs, yard games, and other things. We are doing this to hopefully make it where I can work from home and can take off whenever I want to, go on vacations, spend holidays with the family and be able to be home in the evenings and weekends, go to sporting events, school functions ect.
While it may seem that I am just changing one thing for another to keep me away from the family, it’s not the same thing. With the podcast, while I’m getting a little bit of money from sponsors and my two patrons, It was basically just enough to cover hosting fees. With this business, it has the potential to replace my full-time income and allow me to be at home.
I will still be writing blog posts on my blog, mainly because I can do that at work.
Thanks…
I want to thank each of you that have listened to, helps support, sent me emails, came on and did an interview with me, left comments, and shared my podcast with your friends.
I also would like to thank my sponsors:

* West Mountain Radio
* Dan Romanchik, KB6NU

Thanks to my sponsors, I have been to pay my hosting fees and buy some equipment that I needed to provide yall a better experience.
I also want to all the people that came on to my podcast!
I especially want to thank Ian Kahn, KM4IK, for the many times that he came on at late notice and helped me out. I wish I could’ve continued on and brought Ian on as a co-host full time.
