Hi YouTube Family! Today I want to talk about a term I learned about ten years ago. It is Useful Idiot. It comes from an interview with a Soviet defector back in the 80’s. Yuri Bezmenov was a Soviet spy who defected and tried to wake up the west to the psychological warfare going on right in front of their eyes. But many were brainwashed or just too complacent and couldn’t/wouldn’t believe it. Well, I found his interview to be very helpful in describing many of the same tactics used by narcissists and the psychological transformation that happens to the New Supply.

A useful idiot is exactly what it sounds like. The person being used has no idea they’re being used until it’s too late. But to the oppressor/controller, the person is merely a useful idiot to attain their goals. Once the useful idiot is no longer needed, the supply is discarded or destroyed. This is a horrid destiny for the new supply, but once their purpose is fulfilled, the narcissist has no more use for them and they become useless eaters – those who consume the narcissist’s resources and provide no benefit. As bleak as this sounds, there is still redemption. It’s not irreversible. Not in all cases anyway. Today, I want to talk about all the tactics/stages of this psychological battle and how to overcome it.
