3 Steps To A Walk That Pleases God

March 03, 2015

1. Understand That You Will Walk by Faith
If Faith is the necessary ingredient in every thing that pleases God, you better not walk without it.  Don't walk because you're forced to, don't walk because you feel guilt, don't walk because someone told you that you should.  If God loves a cheerful giver; He loves a cheerful walker.  A little walk with Jesus is a reward within itself.

Hebrews 11:6

6  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
2.  Be Led of The Spirit
You're not in charge on this one.  You're not the captain.  You don't run this ship. Just as soon as man decided he was going to do his own thing and do it his own way we fell.  We fell big time.  Since Jesus Christ is the one who picked us up and dusted us off and brought us back into fellowship with God... well let's let Him lead.

Romans 8:14

14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
3. Walk by the Light of The Word
No use in trying to get somewhere you've never been without directions, a light or a guide.  We were blind before.   We followed false and errant ways in every direction.  We had no clue how to walk in the light.  His word makes everything clear for us.  God is not the author of confusion.  He makes our paths plain and makes the directions simple.  So let His Word show you His path step by step by step.

Psalm 119:104-105

104  Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

105  NUN.Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

If we follow these 3 steps we will surely have the same walk and results that Enoch had.

Genesis 5:24

24  And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Other Scriptures I refer to in this Podcast
2 Corinthians 3:2-3

2  Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:

3  Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

John 3:2

2  The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

Matthew 5:14-16

14  Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

15  Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

16  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
