The Catastrophe of A Chemically Dependent Church

February 24, 2015

Its a controversial matter amongst Christians today.  I'm sorry to have to be the one to tell you, but all of this emphasis and dependence of pharmaceuticals to heal your mind is not at all the Will of God.  The world runs to the pharmacy, buys the prescription and promotes the process.  We are a different breed of people.  We don't need to allow this lie and dependency to operate in our lives.  I'm not talking about your allergy medicine, your asthma medicine, or whatever medicine you may need for your physical ailments.  I'm talking about drugs that are meant to heal your mind.
What does the Bible say about this dependency?

Do You have hope?

Do You have something better than the world has to offer?

Do You depend on sorcerers or the source?

Scriptures I refer to in this message

Proverbs 22:6

6  Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Proverbs 22:15

15  Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.

Revelation 21:6-8

6  And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

7  He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

8  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Revelation 22:14-15

14  Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

15  For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Isaiah 53:4-5

4  Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5  But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
