In Christ Alone (free mp3)
As the primary “Bro. Sound Man” at Tabernacle of Praise in Manteca, Ca I have the privilege to be in a position to record many different preachers, singers, songs and messages.  It can be an often intense and at times nearly frustrating task every service to balance the needs of the platform and of the congregation.  I happen to love the challenge.
Prior to my life in Christ I spent tons of energy and countless hours as a producer, performer and sound engineer.  Now, it is a great honor to be able to use those skills and that experience for the Kingdom of God.
Recently, I had the opportunity to record Rev. Tyler Sullivan singing “In Christ Alone” prior to his preaching using my awesome Apogee Duet Audio Interface for iPad & Mac. We had a lot of problems with the sound that night but persistence pays off.  I even made the mistake of starting the recording without the instrumental backing track.  I had to come back 2 days later and add the music to his voice while I was at home.
After just a little engineering, I’m happy to share this mp3 with you.  It has become a favorite to listen to in my home and I’m certain it will be in your regular rotation. Download it.  Stream it. Share it. We appreciate Tyler’s ministry and you will too.
In Christ Alone
In Christ alone will I glory
Though I could pride myself in battles won
For I’ve been blessed beyond measure
And by His strength alone, I overcome
Oh, I could stop and count successes
Like diamonds in my hands
But those trophies could not equal
To the grace by which I stand
In Christ alone, I place my trust
And find my glory in the power of the Cross
In every victory, let it be said of me
My source of strength, my source of hope is Christ alone
In Christ alone do I glory
For only by His grace I am redeemed
For only His tender mercy
Could reach beyond my weakness to my need
And now I seek no greater honor
Than just to know Him more
And to count my gains but losses
To the glory of my Lord
In Christ alone, I place my trust
And find my glory in the power of the Cross
In every victory, let it be said of me
My source of strength, my source of hope
Is Christ alone
