River Valley has walked alongside the Ecclesia Network for a few years, and they joined this past year. Rick Callahan joins us this month to tell the story of River Valley.
About Rick
I’m a pretty simple guy who is just in awe of Jesus; His mercy and grace never cease to astound me. My role at River Valley is my passion… helping others discover and experience full life every day in the Kingdom of God. I was born and raised in St. Louis and am an incurable Cardinals’ fan. Actually, my sports obsession simply starts with Cardinals; I’m also passionate about the Bears, Chelsea FC and the Fighting Irish. Truth be told, just about any sport with a ball can morph me into a trance like state. I’ve also developed a love for theater and music as the charter member of my wife and kids’ fan club. Since graduating from Evangel University in 1988 (I’ve also earned an M.A. in Religious Education and Leadership from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a Doctor of Ministry in Semiotics and Future Studies from George Fox University), my wife, Michelle, and I have had the opportunity to serve churches in Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth and Houston before pitching our tent in Michiana in 2004. I couldn’t have dreamed of a more amazing woman with whom to take this journey. Our incredible kids have left the nest to spread across the country.
