Podcast: Joe Peta, Author of Trading Bases

March 20, 2013

Joe Peta, author of soon to be NY Times bestseller Trading Bases: A Story About Wall Street, Gambling, and Baseball (Not Necessarily in That Order), was kind of enough to take a break from his whirlwind book tour and join us on the podcast.

Joe is one of those people you feel lucky to interview because he makes it so easy.  Peta is a gifted storyteller, and he cites that as one of the keys to effective writing.

We discussed, among other things, the intersection of sports and bar culture, Michael Lewis's influence on Joe's writing, fatherhood and sports, how to make money gambling on baseball, Rounders and the underground poker scene in NYC, the book tour, and how to appear on TV without crapping yourself.

Listen below or on iTunes. We'd love a review of the podcast if you enjoyed it and have 30 seconds to spare.
