Episode 8- Black Walnuts a true medicinal powerhouse

September 22, 2014

Black Walnuts lie unused on streets in every town and city in North America, but these cast-off nuts- often considered to be trash cluttering suburban yards- are actually a powerhouse of nutrition and natural healing.

Black Walnuts occur all over North America (although not in Europe or Asia) and are packed with vitamins and minerals but most amazingly they have recently been found to kill cancer cells and may be an effective anti-cancer agent.

Black Walnuts have beneficial effects on cardiac health.  They are anti-inflammatory and also have a helpful effect on cholesterol levels- lowering overall cholesterol while increasing HDL (good) cholesterol levels.

They are also an extremely effective vermifuge and anti-fungal, considered traditionally to be the best remedy for internal parasites, ringworn, athlete's foot, and candida yeast infections.

Listen to the podcast and learn how to grow, wild harvest, process, and use the Black Walnut including oil extractions, tinctures, and Black Walnut Hull powder.
